This presentation from Sumitomo Demag focuses on how injection compression molding technology can increase production efficiency of injection molded thin wall packaging articles and closures.  Thinner walls and therefore ultra-light weighting can be achieved with injection compression molding that cannot be achieved with conventional injection molding.  This can lead to higher productivity through faster cycle times on smaller machines while running costs can be reduced through resin savings and energy savings.  Case studies will be presented to quantify the cost savings of production applications which implement injection compression molding.
