Digitalization and the Encompassing Trends Like Industry 4.0

Digitalization and the encompassing trends like “Industry 4.0” or “Internet of Things (IoT)” are global, affecting both private and business life. We see an increasing amount of private-life tools like Social Media or typical Consumer Electronics like an iPad being applied within an industry environment like a bottling facility for beverages.

SYSKRON defines itself as being the trendsetter for digitalization within the liquid-food industry. By looking at the entire supply chain and all peripherical processes the objective is to turn food and beverage plants from their traditional setup into what is called a “Smart Factory”. This includes the physical structure as well as successful mapping of horizontal process (e.g. material flow) with vertical processes (information flow e.g. from ERP to shop-floor and vice versa).

This presentation will also provide tangible examples of how to provide connectivity for existing packaging equipment as the minimum pre-requisite for digitalization; how to become “IoT-ready”. Furthermore SYSKRON will provide insight into recent developments in areas like condition-based, predictive and prescriptive maintenance. This covers already available tools and solutions as well as an outlook into the near term future.

Finally this presentation will share insight into how successful companies already apply social-networking tools within their facilities to improve collaboration and provide additional values to their employees by enabling them to react quicker, independent from their actual location and more targeted than in the past.

Get on the journey towards the Digital Plant, learn more about your digital status and see how your organization can be even more successful in the future.
