BP Polymers will be introducing Kortrax® Barrier Resin, its patented Barrier Resin (BR) technology for either high density polyethylene or polypropylene plastic packaging. Kortrax® BR enhanced plastic barrier packaging is critical in protecting the environment by preventing permeation of container ladings via reduction or elimination of both evaporative and migration emissions of volatile chemicals. The usage of Kortrax® BR is a human safe, environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to either fluorine treated plastic packaging or EVOH multilayer packaging. Plastic packaging utilizing Kortrax® BR has been accepted by the EPA as a PFAS contamination free alternative to fluorinated packaging . And Kortrax® BR has received a Certificate of Recognition by the Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) as safe for the HDPE recycle stream.
