As the human health effects from PFAS/PFOA compounds come under increased scrutiny by regulators and liability insurers, brand owners and producers are seeking alternatives. As part of our Sustainability commitment, CKS has developed a supply solution for a Safe/Recyclable/PFAS-free and economic alternative for barrier HDPE rigid packaging. In 2019 CKS began the product development process for Kortrax® Baritainers® and launched commercial shipments in Q1 of 2020.

In partnership with BP Polymers, CKS Packaging has developed a safe, reliable and economic barrier packaging process for its customers, delivering over 2.2 million Baritainers® in 2024.  The Company is poised to scale up significantly and deliver this unique/proprietary technology to its customers at multiple locations across the U.S. manufacturing footprint.
