The Honorable Dario V. Herrera is not only an accomplished business leader, but is also the former two-time minister in Ecuador's national government, serving from 2021 to 2023. As the Minister of Housing & Urban Development and later as the Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure, he oversaw critical national projects and contributed to the country's urban growth and infrastructure modernization.

Dario's expertise extends beyond public service, with deep roots in the PET industry. His early career began in 1989, when he received formal training in PET injection molding and manufacturing technology at Broadway Mold and Encon, Inc. He later applied this knowledge to lead his family’s water distribution business, introducing the PURE WATER bottled water franchise to Ecuador in 1995, transforming the local market.

In recent years, Dario has pivoted to large-scale real estate development, driving ambitious projects such as the 1,079-hectare Planned Community Montemagna and the Montecristi Golf Resort & Villas. Currently, he is spearheading the development of a cutting-edge Logistics Hub and Free Trade Zone near Manta, Ecuador, aimed at facilitating direct trade between Asia and Latin America.
